How to play Roulette
Roulette is one of the easiest casino games to play, as there are no complex strategies to memorize or complicated rules to worry about. However, the multitude of bets and range of odds and pay outs can be somewhat confusing to start with.
Basic Rules
Roulette is a game played with a large wheel that contains 37 pockets. These stops are numbered 0 to 36 split between black and red numbers with green 0. The Croupier spins a ball on the outer rim of the wheel, after which it will fall into one of the numbered spaces. The object of the game is for the player to guess what number the ball will land in.
Each player buys in different coloured chips. Before each spin, players have the opportunity to place bets around the roulette table. Players can bet on individual numbers or any combination of numbers. Once the ball falls into a pocket and rests there, the croupier will call out the winning number as well as the colour of the pocket it landed in. A marker will be placed into that winning pocket to show winning bets, after all losing bets are swept off the table, once all of the payouts are completed, the players may place bets for the next spin
This is by no means easy. In fact, luck plays an important part in this game. Some players go with the winning numbers calling them ‘hot’ balls and therefore likely to come up more times. Others see which numbers did not come up for some time and bet on them believing that their turn is now due. Some players bet on many numbers to increase their chances of winning at every spin. Others like to pick birthday numbers as this is lucky to them.
